Privacy policy
Kaeme is a private archive of your child's memories. This explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you keep. In short: it stays yours — never sold, never used to train models.

Who we are
Kaeme is a product of Dalysie AS, a company registered in Norway. We are the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question, contact us at support@getdailydone.com.
What we collect
- Your account. Kaeme uses your DailyDone account — your email address, name if you provide it, and authentication details. Sign-in is handled by the shared DailyDone account system.
- The memories you add. The children you set up (a name, an optional birthday, an optional timezone), and the moments you capture for them — photos, captions, the words your child said, and the day each moment is about.
- Usage needed to run the service.Basic technical logs (for security and reliability) and, if enabled, privacy-preserving product analytics that never include your photos or your child's words.
How we use it
- To build and show your child's timeline, library and yearbook.
- To send you the daily prompt and resurface earlier memories on the right day.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and support you when you ask.
We do notsell your data, show advertising, or use your child's photos, words, or any of your content to train machine-learning models.
Automated processing (AI)
To make capture effortless, Kaeme may use automated recognition — for example, to transcribe a voice note, pull a quote, or group near-identical photos into a single moment. This runs on our own processing service on your behalf. The results (a transcript, a tag) are stored as part of your archive; your content is not used to improve any model and is not shared with third-party AI providers for their own purposes.
Where your data lives & how it's protected
Photos and files are stored encrypted at rest with our EU-based storage provider. Access is scoped to your account: memories are private to you and are served only through short-lived, signed links — never public URLs. Uploaded photos are checked before they are stored, and the file type is verified from its actual contents.
Sharing
Your archive is private by default. Nothing is public, and we do not share your memories with anyone unless you explicitly choose to (for example, a future family-sharing feature). We use a small number of trusted processors — cloud storage, and, in future, a messaging provider to deliver prompts and a print partner to fulfil a yearbook you order — each only to the extent needed to provide the service.
Your child's data
Kaeme is designed for a parent or guardian to keep a private record of their own child. You provide and control that information as the adult account holder. We treat it as sensitive and apply the protections above. See our children's privacy page for the specifics.
Your rights & choices
- Access & export. You can view everything in the app and export your memories.
- Correct. Edit or remove any child or moment at any time.
- Delete.Delete individual memories, a child's whole timeline, or your entire account. Deleting your account erases your personal data, including your children's photos, from our systems — see Delete account.
Under the GDPR you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.
Retention
We keep your memories for as long as your account is active, so your archive is there when you want it. When you delete your account, personal data and photo files are erased. A few records we are legally required to keep (such as payment receipts, if you buy anything) are retained only for as long as the law requires, then removed.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll let you know in the app or by email. The date at the top shows the current version.
